Philip Berry

Phil Berry has concentrated exclusively on retail real estate property since 1986, with a major focus in the Southern California marketplace specifically in Tenant, and Landlord representation.

Prior to establishing Commercial West Brokerage, Inc. in 1991, Mr. Berry was a founder of Tri Pacific, Inc. He was the top producer for the firm six years running from 1986 through 1991.

Mr. Berry has personally completed over 800 lease and sale transactions. These transactions include lease transactions with national chains, local retail chain tenants, government agencies and the disposition of shopping centers and land transactions totaling over One Billion Dollars. The Irvine Company honored Mr. Berry as Broker of the Year. He has also been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for 30 years and was a featured speaker on panels for ICSC, The UCLA Shopping Center Game and ACRE.

Mr. Berry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1985 with an emphasis in International Trade and Finance. Mr. Berry lives in Newport Beach with his wife Diana and three children and enjoys traveling and surfing.

John Romm

John has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience. He specializes in the representation of owners and tenants in the leasing and sale of retail & hospitality properties in Southern California. As a former collegiate athlete he thrives in a competitive environment. His dedication and passion for his clients have built strong relationships and great achievements in a short amount of time. He believes that maintaining a long vision is essential to success.

In his spare time John enjoys the beach, boxing, skiing and spending time with his family and dogs.

Doug Wombacher specializes in retail tenant representation and landlord leasing. He has extensive retail-based experience with a very strong network of shopping center owners, developers, tenants, and brokers.

Doug's retail-based experience encompasses over 12 years in the Southern, California retail market. Doug started his career as a property coordinator for a Retail Developer/Investor who specialized in purchasing value add shopping centers. He's worked as a broker in the industry for the past 9 years specializing in Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Inland Empire trade areas.

Born and raised in Cottonwood, Arizona Doug attended both the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. Doug has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 2004.



Gary Mull is a 28 year veteran of the commercial real estate industry. Since 1987 Mr. Mull has held executive positions with Tri Pacific Commercial Brokers, McCrory Stores, Ralphs Grocery Company, as well as development and investment positions with Lundin Development , PCF investments, and Providence Investment Properties. During his career, Mr. Mull has been responsible for the development or redevelopment of nearly 2,000,000 square feet of commercial properties and has transacted leases and sales valued at over $250,000,000.

In his current role with Commercial West, Mr. Mull is responsible for commercial investment brokerage. Additionally, Mr. Mull runs the property management portion of the business through Commercial West affiliate, Providence Property Management.

Mr. Mull received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Financial Management from California State University Long Beach in 1983 and his Doctorate degree in Jurisprudence from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1986. Mr. Mull is a member of the California Bar Association, a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California and maintains active membership in the International Council of Shopping Centers, which recognizes him as a Certified Specialist in shopping center leasing. Mr. Mull resides in Newport Beach with his wife Katherine and his three children.



Kate Berry specializes in retail tenant representation and landlord leasing. She started her career as a leasing assistant at DJM Capital Partners, Inc. where she worked on iconic projects including Pacific City and Lido Marina Village. She continued her career in the Hospitality Industry working for Lemonade Restaurant Group, where she oversaw all marketing efforts as they opened 13 restaurants throughout California. Kate graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara.



Jenny Scagno is the Director of Operations and Marketing. She is responsible for managing the daily operational activities, inventory management, corporate brand management and overseeing all marketing initiatives, including advertising, graphic design, client presentations, market research, and web management. She has over fifteen years of combined experience in project management, marketing, and operations management. Jenny was born and raised in Texas and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in International Business from Stephen F. Austin State University.
